how we started
When we started, we noticed that the majority of snacks were heavily processed, made from flour and laced with artificial additives/chemicals, while real snacks, such as potato chips, were imported and expensive. From a health and economic perspective, we felt this was a bad thing.
We decided it was an opportunity we wanted to pursue. We set out to make a snack that is real, contains natural ingredients and can be made affordable to everyone to challenge the potato chips. Furthermore, we thought we should leverage on the abundant resources in Asia where we live. We chose the humble banana as our main ingredient, a whole food that is high in nutrition, fibre, and energy but also one that is familiar and plentiful in Asia and South America.
After extensive research, we produce our own version of the alternative – a thinly sliced crisp seasoned with real herbs and spices, lacking complicated ingredients, chemicals, or artificial flavors.
We first presented our product at the 2014 Jakarta Indofood Expo, where our product received an extremely positive local response. From there we traveled throughout Indonesia promoting our product. AEON supermarket was our first big retailer, followed by other supermarkets and hotels. By 2017, we were invited by AirAsia Indonesia to sell our product onboard to its 19 routes in Asia.
Our facilities needed to be expanded by 2017, and we were also seeking to make a positive impact in the communities where our workers come from. So, we decided to move our factory to a rural village nestled in rice paddy fields in central Java.
We are very proud to have made a difference in the community today, by conducting commerce with local farmers and suppliers, creating employment and training opportunities, and supporting local community events and sponsorships.

Vision
Our goal is to make a positive impact on rural communities, to increase standards of living, and to expand employment opportunities within the rural communities. Ultimately, we want our business to offer positive impact to other communities in other third-world countries.

Our mission is to make healthy and naturally-made chips a mainstay in our food supply chain. To accomplish this, we strive to make the best possible snacks with the simplest ingredients that not only taste great but are affordable as well.
